At Brambly Hedge Day Nursery Castleford, (near Normanton, Mehtley and Pontefract), we operate within the government’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which is a quality framework to support children’s learning and development from birth to five years (end of child’s reception year). The framework provides information and guidance about how children should be kept safe and cared for and how all concerned can work together to ensure that children achieve and make progress during their earliest years of life.

The six areas of learning are:
1.) Personal, Social and Emotional Development.

2.) Communication, Language and Literacy.
3.) Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy.
4.) Knowledge and Understanding of the World.
5.) Physical Development.
6.) Creative Development.

At Brambly Hedge we operate an equal opportunities policy and will not discriminate. We ensure positive attitudes to diversity and difference, so children learn from an early age to value and respect their own and other peoples’ cultures and beliefs. Each child will be treated as an individual.
