The Nursery Key Person System

When your child first starts to attend nursery, you and your child will be allocated a member of staff who will be your Key Person, a familiar and special adult who will help your child to settle in and feel happy, secure and confident when you are not around.

Your child’s Key Person will discuss with you your child’s likes, dislikes and routines and then ensure that both you and your child’s individual requirements and priorities are met.

Child Profiles

Your child will be given a ‘Birth to Five Child Profile', which records and celebrates children's achievements and milestones. The profile will contain photographs of your child, work samples, written observations and learning plans. Your child's Key Person will be responsible for building and updating the profile and for keeping you closely informed about your child's progress and well-being. Your child's profile will be available for you to view at any time.

Brambly Hedge Day Nursery is in Castleford, near Pontefract, Methley and Normanton. The nursery is within easy reach of the M1 and Junction 31 of the M62 (5 minutes away) and A1 networks.
