Nursery Toddler Room
Our Toddler Room for children aged approximately 2-3 years offers another bright and spacious stimulating environment where children are introduced to a slightly more structured programme and a wider range of activities and equipment to stimulate and support early learning in all areas of development.
Throughout the day these activities include puzzles, singing, early computer skills, mark making and pencil control, sand and water play, dough and malleable materials, music and movement, construction toys, creative and imaginative play,
dressing up and role play, story telling and story bags, nursery rhymes and early number work (e.g. counting, colour, shape, matching and sorting). Children also have plenty of opportunities to play outdoors in our extensive, grassed out door play environment and also have easy access to their own smaller ‘free flow’ outdoor play area.
Our supportive and friendly Toddler Room staff work in conjunction with parents to support children’s Personal, Social and Emotional skills (sharing, taking turns, co-operating with others, making friends etc.) and their developing independence in feeding themselves at meal times and, when they are ready, becoming potty and then toilet trained.
Brambly Hedge Day Nursery Castleford is near Methley, Normanton and Pontefract. The nursery is within easy reach of the M1 and Junction 31 of the M62 (5 minutes away) and A1 networks.
